Eddie Michael Winstead, age 67, of Rutledge, passed away February 24, 2013 at Lakeway Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. Eddie was a member of First Baptist Church of Bean Station, served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War, and coached little league in Rutledge. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Winstead; sister, Kathy Watson and father, Bruce Winstead. He is survived by daughters, Elizabeth ( Danny) Morgan and Rebecca (Jessie) Day; mother, Jane Woods; brother, Bob (Marilyn) Winstead; sister, Patsy (Hugh) Harrell; grandchildren, Tailor Morgan, Adam (Jenna) Morgan, and Andy (Jessie) Morgan; and special friend, Lisa Cantwell. Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 8:00 PM in the chapel of Smith-Reagan Funeral Home. His son-in-law, Rev. Danny Morgan and grandson, Rev. Andy Morgan will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00-8:00 PM prior to the service. Graveside service will be Friday, March 1, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Bean Station Cemetery.
