Christine Ward Nicley age 87 passed away March 1, 2013 at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center after a short illness. She was member of Dutch Valley Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband James S. Nicley; parents, Orlander and Mary Ward; sisters, Thelma Collins, Pauline McHargue, Juanita Hurst; and brother, James Coy Ward. Survivors include nieces, Sandy Collins of Washburn, Kay Black of Knoxville, Rosemary Leggat, and Charlotte McCoy all of Washburn, Lucy Nicley of Texas, Teresa Kuchy of Michigan, Pam and Melody of Ohio; and nephews, Berstein Hurst and Jay Nicley of Washburn, Russell Nicley of Ohio, and Michael Nicley of Arizona; brother-in-law Chum (Chris) Nicley of Ohio; sister-in-law Joyce Nicley of Washburn. Funeral services will be 6:00 P.M. Sunday March 3, 2013 in the chapel of Smith-Reagan Funeral Home in Rutledge with Rev. Jimmy Frye officiating. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 4, 2013 in Liberty Hill Cemetery in Washburn. Serving as pallbearers will be Doyle McCoy, Houston Bunch, Randy Harrell, Greg Hurst, Justin Hurst, and Lee Ed Hurst. The family will receive friends 4:30 P.M. till 6:00 P.M. prior to services Sunday evening at the funeral home.
