JoshuaJohn Ryan Waldrop, affectionately known as JDub, gained his angel wings and flew away to heaven on January 24th, 2017. To some, his time on this earth may seem short, but for those whose he touched know the quality of time he had, far exceeded the quantity of time he lived. His presence we will treasure. JDub was always a strong willed and independent child, preferring to do things for himself. He always liked looking sharp and had his own unique style. He had a heart of gold, and it made him happy to do things for others. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, swimming was his favorite thing to do. He spent a lot of his life around horse shows and had his own horse named Booneshine. His sister, Kolt, and his Aunt, Ashley Myers, will take care of Booneshine and will barrel race him in JDub’s memory. He was also a very talented artist and dreamed of becoming an author and illustrator. He had already written his first story, but never got the chance to finish all the pictures. He loved all of his animals. Especially his cats: Zeus, Angel food cat, cottonball, and his dog Tuff. Their love and devotion brought him much comfort. He enjoyed music, loving to sing and dance. His favorite singer was Alan Jackson, and the song he loved most was “I’ll Fly Away.” To JDub, Alan was more than a famous singer, but a friend whose music brought him joy and whose kindness to JDub and the family will never be forgotten. The bond of love, loyalty, and faith of the LW family has only grown through this experience and been an inspiration to all who knew them or followed JDub’s progress through his Prayers for JoshuaJohn Facebook group. There may be an empty spot in our home, but our hearts are full from all of the joy, laughter and strength that JDub left behind us to carry us through until we see him again.
