Lawrence Ray “Teater” Whitt age 63 of Rutledge passed away suddenly July 4, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janie C. Whitt; and parents, Bryant E. and Lissie Mae Whitt. Survivors include brother, Charles Whitt; daughters Kimberly L. Bolling and Crystal (Joshua S.) Cooper; sons, Jimmy R. (Paige) Whitt and Jackson R. Whitt; grandchildren, Hawk Tyler Ray Lawson, Jessie Wayne Coffey, Nalin Ray Whitt, Madisyn Kendal Travis, Paisley Jesslyn Armina Whitt, and MaKenzie Aspen Cooper; and special friends, Samantha Sicilia and Teresa Warner. Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Friday, July 7, 2017 in the chapel of Smith-Reagan Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Dockins officiating. The family will receive friends 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. prior to services, Friday evening at the funeral home. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 A.M. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 219 Fred Lampkin Road in Rutledge for an 11:00 A.M. graveside service.Read Obituary

I am so sorry to hear of this death. I saw this nice fellow just last week, and waved to him. I asked him how he was doing, and he said he was 'Just fine'. We always greeted each other, where ever we met around town. He was a very likable fellow, and I will miss seeing him.
