Unieve Proffitt Phillips

: Unieve Proffitt Phillips (Mammaw Bea), age 90 of Rutledge passed away Wednesday February 14, 2018 at her residence. She was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emert Phillips; son, Ronnie Phillips; granddaughter, Tammy Pique; great granddaughter, Tabatha Jones; son-in-law, Ray McGaha; parents, Elmer and Zettie (McCarter) Proffitt; sisters, Effie Collins, Lillian Lunsford, Zelma Barnard, Faye and Bernice Proffitt; brothers, Arnold, Ellis, and Bernard Proffitt. Survivors include daughters, Jeanelle McGaha, and Ruth (Tony) Jones of Rutledge; grandchildren, Dwayne Phillips, Karen Boruff, Tonia Kincer, and Marty McGaha; nine great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; sister, Bertina Proffitt; three nephews; and seven nieces. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Smoky Mountain Hospice, and Dr. Lance Patton. Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Friday, February 16, 2018 in the chapel of Smith-Reagan Funeral Home in Rutledge with Rev. Robert Myers officiating. Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday in Shiloh UMC Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. prior to services Friday evening at the funeral home. Smith-Reagan Funeral Home in Rutledge is serving the family.Read Obituary
