Venila Jones

: Venila Jones of Rutledge, TN bravely and with no lack in humor fought cancer for 88 months, entered into eternal peace on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 12:00 P.M., at the age 0f 71 years (December 1, 1946-March 16, 2018). Venila has been blessed to pass on into everlasting life with our Lord that she loved so deeply. Venila will be lovingly remembered by her children, Freddy Michael Redmond of Maryville and Trisha Kay Lusby of Knoxville. Venila will also be fondly remembered by her 5 grandchildren, Mariah Barnes, Garrett Redmond, Samuall Clowers ,Josie Redmond, Madison Redmond, and one great-grandchild Ayven Redmond; loving sisters, Henrietta Pittman of Knoxville, Rebecca Bird of Virginia, and Margie Lilly of North Carolina. Venila was preceded in death by her husband of 17 years, Billy E. Jones; father, J.C. (Clint) Broome Jr., mother Margaret Eloise (Shumate) Broome, and brother James Lee Broome of Beckley, West Virginia. Many surviving nieces and nephews will miss their Aunt Venila as well as special friends and extended family who view her vibrant tenacity as inspiring. To any that have ever made Vi’s acquaintance, family, friends, and co-workersare truly welcomed to be a part of a graveside service, Tuesday, March 20th at 3:00 P.M. at pollard Cemetery in Kodak, directly followed by a Meal and celebration to reflect on memories of Vi’s humorous endeavors in life at 5:00 P.M. at Oakland Baptist Church where she attended, 15050 lakeshore Drive, Rutledge, TN 37861 with pastor Stacey officiating.
