Brenda Sue Collins, age 66 of Bean Station, passed away Monday, April 22, 2019, at her home. She was a member of Freedom’s Chapel Church, and an avid fan of University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball.
She is preceded in death by her parents Reed and Elsie Gross; her husband John B. Collins; three siblings Lonnie Joe, Shirley, and Troy Edward Gross, and brother-in-law Paul Gross. She is survived by her children Teresa (Michael) Johnson, Melissa (Brad) French, Jerry Doug Collins, and Tracy (Stanley) Dalton; grandchildren Amanda, Stephanie, and Todd Johnson, Breanna Long, Andrea (Brad) Spoone, JJ (Heather) Collins, and Adam Dalton; great-grandchildren MaKenna and Kamryn Spoone; siblings Eugene (Lola) Gross, Harold (Dee) Gross, Hubert Gross, Margie (Estel) Gross, Joyce Gross, and Lela (Dan) Brown; as well as other beloved family members, friends, and dear church members, and her beloved pet, Daisy.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at Freedom’s Chapel Church, with Revs. Rick Dalton, Leonard Dalton, and Lonnie Dalton officiating. Interment will follow at Freedom’s Chapel Church Cemetery.
