Eddie James Dalton, age 65 of Bean Station, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2019. He was saved at an early age and was a member of Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Thorn Hill.
He was preceded in death by his parents Helen and Ray Lamb of Thorn Hill, and Cliff and Geraldine Reed of Bean Station; brothers Lonnie (Kyle) Lamb of Knoxville, and Ernie Reed of Bean Station.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Iva (Sue) Dalton; children Jeff (Tammy) Dalton, and Susan (Jason) Kinser, all of Bean Station. He had four grandchildren whom he adored: McKinley, Caleb, Colby, and Isabella. He also leaves behind sisters Sylvia (Wendell) Hipshire, Judy (Glenn) Harris, Sherry (Ron) Campbell, Wendy (Greg) Reed, Phyllis (Johnny) Reed, and Darlene Myers, all of Bean Station, and Adalea Hibbett of North Carolina; brothers Joe (Thelma) Lamb, Keith Reed, and Lindsey (Beth) Reed, all of Bean Station; and a host of nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, April 21, 2019, at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home with Rev. Arnold Dalton officiating. Interment will follow at Kinser Family Cemetery.
