Glenn E. Starnes, Sr, age 72 of Bean Station, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at his residence. He was a member of Central View American Christian Church, and had been a supervisor with Norris. He dearly loved his family. He was a farmer and loved working his land, tending his cows, especially Hazel, and his dog, Sissy. He also enjoyed trout fishing.
His parents Joe and Flossie Starnes, an infant son Joseph Lynn, a step-son David Arnwine and brothers James, Emerson, and Paul Starnes, and sisters Gladish and Thelma Starnes, all preceded him in death. Left to cherish his memory are his children Glenn Starnes, Jr and wife, Chasity, and Pamela Ellison and husband, Anthony; brother Roy Starnes; step-son Chris Arnwine; grandchildren Dustin (Dee) and Beth Starnes, Joseph (Joe) and Ashley Starnes, Jason Starnes and Kelsey Nichols, Tyler Starnes and Samantha Rhines, Daniel Starnes Taylor Starnes, KeaganRoy Starnes, Raulito, Agustine, and Caprice Herrera, Kyc and Dylan Ryel, Tosha Arnold, Dorothea Ellison, Little Dave, Mandy, Zack, and Jessie, Little Chris, Cole, and Allie; fifteen great-grandchildren, four nieces, and a host of beloved friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, November 15, 2019, at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home with funeral services to follow. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at Cabbage Cemetery in Washburn. Rev. Dustin Starnes will officiate the services.
