Pauline “Granny” Crews, age 85 of Bean Station, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019, at her residence. She was very strong in her faith; a Godly woman and a member of Clinchdale Missionary Baptist Church. She dearly loved her family, cooking for them and tending their needs. She also enjoyed gardening; planting her flowers, especially her irises.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband James Crews; parents Charlie and Kizzie Cooper, and all her siblings, Roy, Troy, Phillip, and Walter Cooper, Alys Webb, Bonnie Loy, Gertie Kurk, Dossie Lane, and Dovie Lee.
She is survived by her daughter Janice (Paul) Collins; grandchildren Kimberly (Dale) Cope, and Catina (Eddie) Atkins; great-grandchildren Dakota (Jessica) Orrick, Samantha (Nicholas) Foster, and Logan Atkins; great-great-grandchildren Cameron Orrick, Zaylon Foster, Rowan Foster, and Myla Atkins; along with a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home.
Viewing will begin at 10:00 am on Sunday, July 21, 2019, at Clinchdale Missionary Baptist Church in Bean Station, with funeral services at 11:00 am. Rev. Grant Vaughan and Rev. Mark Tanner will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Helton Cemetery.
