Bedford Conley Dalton age 79 of Bean Station went home to be with the Lord on January 24, 2018 after a brief illness. He was a member of Bridgeport Baptist Church in Washburn. He was preceded in death by wives; Irene Dalton, and Shirley Dalton; parents; Walter and Sarah Dalton; infant brother; Fernley Dalton, brother’s and sisters-in-law, Hubert and Judy Dalton, Aaron Boot and Helen Dalton, Burnace and Lois Dalton, sister’s and brother-in-law’s Thelma and Lonnie Collins, brother-in-laws; Paul Branson, and Doyle Vittetoe, and sister-in-law, Lisa Dalton. He survived by his son Rick and Tammy Dalton, daughters Janice and Ted Scearce, and Sarah Hixon. Grandchildren include: Ricky Jr. and Jodi Dalton, Leanna and Craig Borum, Samantha Atkins, Kelly and Chad Williams, Kim Scearce, Norma Marsee and Josh and Olivia Hixon. 8 great grandchildren; sisters; Stelmo Branson, Reba Wilmouth and brother Shirley Dalton, and several nieces and nephews. A Special thank you to the staff and nurses at Ridgeview Terrace Nursing Home and Smokey Mountain Hospice. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 1:00PM at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home with Rev. Colen Scearce, Rev. Tony Williams, and Rev, Jerry Savage. Graveside services will follow in Dalton Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, January 26, 2016 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be : Verlyn Stanley, Wesley, Ricky Jr. and lane Dalton, Bernard Vittetoe, Randall Collins, and Craig Borum. Honorary Pallbearer will be Ted Scearce. Chad Williams and Caleb Scearce will provide the music for the service.
