Betty Joann Gann

: Betty Joann Gann age 74 of Rutledge passed away peacefully on November 18, 2016 at home surrounded by her four children, after a battle with cancer. Betty was born December 6, 2016 in Rutledge, TN, the daughter of John Green and Myrtle Brabston. Betty was the homemaker of the family. Her greatest characteristic was her self sacrificing love for her children and her sheer determination to survive through anything, putting her faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ along the way. Betty thoroughly enjoyed seeing her children and grandchildren flourish. She graduated from Rutledge High School, and in 1963 she married James Donald (Ted) Gann Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Gann; and parents, John Green and Myrtle (Brabson) Green. Survivors include her children Don Gann, Kim (Rick) Bean, Dirk (Kristin) Gann, and Nicole (Patrick) Cook; siblings, Mike Green and Aileen Arnold; grandchildren, Nathan Bean, Tra Gann, Tamara Gann, Nick Gann, Corey Bean, Tylor Gann, and Derri Thompson; great grandchildren Marissa Gann, Skylar Gann, Kloe Bean, Gemma Gann, and Asher Bean. Funeral services will be 8:00 P.M. Monday, November 21, 2016 in Buffalo Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Lee officiating. Family and friends will gather 3:45 P.M. Tuesday in Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery for a 4:00 P.M. graveside service. Serving as pallbearers will be Tylor Gann, Corey Bean, Nathan Bean, Tra Gann, Patrick Cook, and Rick Bean, and honorary pallbearer, Tony Thompson. The family will receive friends 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Monday evening prior to services at Buffalo Baptist Church.Read Obituary
