Georgia Holt Lakins went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 29, 2018.She was preceded in death by her parents, Landon and Myrtle Bull Holt and her husband of 57 years, John “Pig” Lakins. She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Darnell Horner and Marsha Leek along with five sisters and three brothers.“Mamaw Georgie” was best known for her homemade biscuits and country cooking at the Down Home Restaurant where she cooked for many years.She is survived by daughters Pamela Bradley (Norman) of London, Kentucky; Beverly Dunsmore, and Fonda Kitts (Steve) of Rutledge; and son Dennis Lakins of Chattanooga, Tennessee. She also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren Nathan Horner, Jonathan Horner, Laura Horner King, Daniel Bradley, Joseph Leek, Jordan Leek, Morgan Dunsmore Anderson, Taylor Dunsmore, Gabrielle Lakins, Alisha Lakins Henegar, Cole Lakins, Corey Kitts and Ricky Kitts; great-grandchildren; Kara Soto Lopez, Abigail and Victoria Horner, Katie and Caroline Horner, Jacob and Aaron King, Spencer Dunsmore-Myers, Peyton Dunsmore-Washam, Conlan, GraceLyn, and Aleah Kitts, Hadley Kitts, and Landon Lakins; and one great-great-grandchild Mia Soto Lopez.The family of Georgia Lakins is very grateful to the team at Smoky Mountain Hospice for their loving care and service.The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Noah’s Chapel Church with Revs. Jerry Epperson and Kevin Roberts officiating.
