James Everette McDaniel

: James Everette McDaniel age 78 of Rutledge peacefully left his home March 6, 2017 to fly away to his heavenly home. He retired from 28 years service at Magnavox in Jefferson City. He accepted the Lord as his savior at an early age and was currently a member of Higher Ground Baptist Church in Rutledge. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his only granddaughter who was the pride and joy of his life. He loved to fish and spend time in his shop along with having a passion for older vehicles. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Madison and Louise Paskel McDaniel; his infant sister, Nanny Beatrice; and a host of many other relatives. He will be sadly missed by all who loved him and those waiting to join him on the other side. Everette is leaving behind his wife of 58 years, Barbara Jean McDaniel; son, Jamie (Sharon) McDaniel; and one granddaughter, Samantha McDaniel; and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Thursday evening, March 9, 2017 in the chapel of Smith-Reagan Funeral Home with Rev. David Helton officiating. Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 10, 2017 in Mitchell Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. prior to services Thursday evening at the funeral home.Read Obituary
