Peggy Gortney
The family had moved back to Dry Fork Marrowbone for awhile. We were neighbors , relatives and I went to school with some of the children (Tina, we were in our teens). So some of us were invited for a girly get-to-know you visit. She was not like the usual Mother's around you meet. She was a ball of energy, she talked with a big city accent, looked different and I thought she was exciting. I felt like she wanted to know what was happening in my life. Not just asking and getting into trouble for it. The visit turned into an activity class, back then ceramic pottery was the new fad. So every time I see clay pottery, I think of Juanita. She made an impression on me with fond memories. Prayers for the family.
