Larry Winstead

Larry Winstead, age 66 of Rutledge, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018, after a brief illness. He was a member of Bridgeport Missionary Baptist Church in Washburn, TN.He was preceded in death by his mother Margaret Holt, stepfather Seth Holt, father Raymond Winstead, brother Bill Sowder, and son-in-law Adam Williams.He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Kathy Winstead; son Scott (Patty) Winstead; daughter Michelle (John) Bull; grandchildren Aaron (Kayla) Winstead, Shelby Winstead, Tori Williams, Lexi Williams; great-grandson Malaki Winstead; brothers Rodney (Lisa) Holt of Mt Carmel; Randy Holt, and Roland (Tammy) Holt of Rutledge; and a host of many other family members all of which he loved very much.Larry is a veteran of the US Air Force. He retired from Conway Freight in 2013, and has enjoyed camping, fishing, and boating, as well as spending time with his family. This is what made him happy. He was a wonderful, loving, and caring man with an infectious personality and smile, and will be missed by so many.Pallbearers will be Conway friends, Rick Cooper, and Steve Givens; son-in-law John Bull; grandson Aaron Winstead; and nephews TJ and Samuel Holt. Honorary pallbearer will be Danny Turley.Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, April 30, 2018, at Smith Reagan Funeral Home with services to follow. Rev. Lonnie Dalton, Jr. and Rev. Dana Dalton will be officiating. Interment with military honors will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at McGinnis Harrell Cemetery in Thorn Hill, TN.Services entrusted to Smith-Reagan Funeral Home of Rutledge.Read Obituary
