Sherry Swiney

Sherry Leann Swiney age 53 of Rutledge, TN went home to be with the Lord February 26, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Charlotte Swiney; grandparents; Minnie Bull, William and Margaret Swiney, and cousin Teddy Swiney. She is survived by her sister Penny(Jerry) Satterfield, brother; David(Jacinta) Swiney all of Rutledge; nieces Amanda(Wade) Bean, Kearia Swiney; nephews Jeremy(Tuana) Satterfield, Cody(Megan) Helton, Ryan Helton, Great Nieces; Taylor Bean, Hannah Bean, Maddie Satterfield, and great nephew Joshua Satterfield. Sherry was blessed with a large extended family whom she loved dearly; special cousin Terry Howerton of the home, Tina Howerton and Lisa(Lonnie) Swiney. Although Sherry never had children of her own she considered it one of her greatest blessings to help raise Chad(Nicole) Howerton, Josie Howerton, Jenny Coffey and Shannon(Jay) Edmonds, and Nicole Madon. Sherry has spent the last nine years doing what she loved the most in life, cooking and baking for her Down Home Family. Sherry absolutely enjoyed the customers of the Down Home bragging about all the cakes and meals she has helped prepare. Mammaw Sherry will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Visitation will be held Friday, March 2, 2018 from 5:00PM-7:00PM at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 2:00PM at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home with Rev. Cas Lakins, and Rev. Lewis Lynn officiating. Graveside services will be held at Grainger Memorial Gardens following the service. Pallbearers will be Terry(Peanut) Holt, Les Fields, Dale and Dewayne Johnson, Cody Cameron, and Tim Ledford. Honorary Pallbearers will be Seth White, Landon Holt, Dawson Holt, Cody and Ryan Helton, and Joshua Satterfield.Read Obituary
