Barbara Maxine (Cole) Haas, age 86 born on February 9, 1935, Wilhite, TN passed away February 18, 2021 in Rutledge, TN. She was a retired home health care CNA.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Wesley and Martha Cole of Corryton; brothers, Junior Cole, Jerry Cole, Richard Cole, and Kenny Hurst; first husband, Paul Walz of Trenton, NJ; and second husband; Verne Haas.
Barbara is survived by her children, Charlotte (David) Haas of Greer, SC, Pamela Looper of Visalia, CA, Michele (Albert) Borges of Pismo, CA, Richard (Felicia) Haas of Kingston, NC Gary Haas and Kenneth Haas of Sevierville; sisters, Virginia (Lawrence) Turner of Elletsville, IN, Wanda Rice of Jefferson City, Elizabeth Collins of Corryton, Sharon “Kay” (Stephen) Delfino of Knoxville, Patricia (Rick) Railey of Karns, Brenda (Dennis) Stringfield of Knoxville, and Mamie Hurst of Townsend; brothers, Jack (Ruby) Cole of Corryton, John (Linda) Cole of Corryton, Dennis (Rhonda) Cole of Knoxville and Bobbie Hurst of Everett, WA; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren with 1 on the way, and 3 great great grandchildren; 13 nephews and 18 nieces.
Interment service will be held at Smokey Mountain Memorial Peace Garden in Pigeon Forge, Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 10:30am with Pastor Bruce Erb officiating.
Memorial services will be held at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home, 326 Water St. Rutledge, Friday, May 28, 2021 at 10:30am with Chaplain James Goins officiating.
