Dottie Dimple Nicely, 87, of Blaine, Tennessee returned to her heavenly home on January 3, 2021. Dottie had a strong devotion and love to her family and to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To know Dottie was to love her. She never met a stranger and she genuinely loved others as Jesus commanded. Dottie wanted everyone she met to hear the Good News, and she always made sure that everyone had a Bible. We can only imagine the rejoicing in heaven when Dottie heard, “Well done, my good and faithful servant!” Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, Hodge and Nancy Longmire, sister Dessie Longmire Brooks, son Marvin Eugene “Gene” Nicely, and grandson Jeremey Nicely. She is survived by her sons Wayne “Crickett” (Pam) Nicely, Jesse “Bottles” (Teri) Nicely, her grandchildren Holly (James) Stanley, Jessica (Andrew) Pratt, Jennifer (David) Acuff, Travis (Lauren) Nicely, her great-grandchildren Kaylee Pratt, Hanna Acuff, Kaycee Pratt, and Dylan Acuff, and her special friend Blake whom she loved like a great-grandson.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to be made to Gideons International/ Central Bearden in Knoxville, TN. The family will be holding a private graveside service.
Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your Faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, Therefore I hope in Him!” ~Lamentations 3:22-24
