James Michael Farrow “Mike” of Jefferson City passed from this life to his eternal life on September 30, 2020. He was a faithful member of Friendsview Baptist Church. He was a devoted Christian, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Mike retired from Carson Newman University in 2014 after 43 years of service to the college. During that time, he made many great friends and memories and impacted countless lives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Juanita Farrow; brother, Rev. Robert “Bobby” Farrow; sister, Mary Roach; brother-in-law, Mike Williams; and niece, Tammy Dockins.
Mike is survived by his sisters Carolyn Dockins and Wanda Williams; brother-in-law, Bill Roach; sister-in-law, Bernice Farrow; nieces, Pam (Charles) Mims, Kay (Charlie) Johnson, Darlene (Rusty) Smith, Robin (Rob) Turley, nephews Glen (Sandra) Dockins and Anthony (Tammy) Dockins; many special great nieces and nephews; special cousin, Linda Davis; special friends, Sandra Clevenger, Scotty Music, Brenda Ingram, and many family and friends.
The family would like to thank all the angels at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro who took care of our brother with so much respect, kindness, and care.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, Alzheimer’s Tennessee and Friendsview Baptist Church.
Friends and family may drop by Smith-Reagan Funeral Home at their convenience on Saturday, October 3, 2020, between 12:00 – 4:00pm.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 3, 2020, from 5:00 – 7:00pm with a funeral service to follow at 7:00pm with Rev. Charlie Johnson and Rev. Shannon Atkins officiating.
Friends and family will meet at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home on Sunday, October 4, 2020, at 1:00pm and proceed to Blue Springs Baptist Church Cemetery for a 2:00pm graveside service.
