Janice Jarnigan Cruze, 69, formerly of Bean Station, TN, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Jefferson City Health and Rehab in Jefferson City, TN.

Janice was a hairdresser and owner at Janice’s Beauty Shop in Bean Station for many years. She was of the Baptist faith and was saved at an early age.

Janice joined many loved ones when she entered Heaven’s gates. She was preceded in death by her husband; Billy Ray Cruze, infant son; Timothy Ray Cruze, parents; Rev. Hugh and Linnie Jarnigan, grandparents; Effie Jarnigan, William (Ina) Jarnigan, Bob Welch and Leona Welch Smith, aunts and Uncles; Agnes (L.C. “PeeRoy”) Carpenter, Cheerful (Walt) Coffey, Cleo (John Dee) Atkins, JC (Doll) Welch, Edward “Tootsie” Welch, Wanda McDaniel, Walter Clarence Welch, Robert Reagan, William “Junior” (Grace) Jarnigan, Earl (Doris) Jarnigan, Jessie (Wayne) Boitnott, Fern Jarnigan, Earl Jarnigan, Imogene (Robert) Wilder, and Fred (Suzie) Jarnigan, sister-in-law; Mary (Jim) Williams.

Janice is survived by her son; Brandon Cruze of Morristown, Aunt; Dorothy Reagan of Rutledge, uncle; Norman (Betty) Jarnigan of Thorn Hill, aunt; Brenda Goode of Morristown, special niece; Karen Spears of Rutledge, special nephew; Roger Williams of Rutledge, special cousins; Ethan Skeen of Rutledge and Inez Dalton of Thorn Hill, special caregivers; Megan McGhee, Shelly Coleman, Lisa Lindsey, Susan Turner, Jessica Bowlin, Katie Osgood and Shelly Guinn and a host of other relatives, friends, and caregivers.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Jefferson City Health and Rehab for loving and caring for our beloved mother, niece, cousin, and aunt for the past eight years.

The family will receive friends from 5pm – 7pm on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home in Rutledge, followed by a funeral service a 7pm with Rev. Terry Dalton officiating. Family will meet at Meadow Branch Cemetery Friday, June 10, 2022 at 2pm to lay Janice to rest next to the love of her life.
