Jimmy H. James, "aka Jesse James, Paw", age 78 of Rutledge went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 14, 2021, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. He was a longtime member of Central Point Baptist Church. He loved his family and his work/job as a lineman, then General Forman/Superintendent for Dillard Smith for almost 50+ years, traveling all over the country to re-establish power during many hurricanes and snow storms, before finally retiring the first of 2021 from BESCO where he helped establish their line construction part of the company. He also loved playing golf any chance he got.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Cecelia (Parker) James, his parents James James and Leatha (Kidwell) James; brothers Joe James and Tony James; sisters Polly Arnett and Iva Morgan.
He is survived by his children Jamie James, Jim James and Jacqueline James Mallicoat; grandchildren Skyler James, CJ James and Addason Mallicoat; great-grandchildren ParkerSwanson, Everleigh James and Izabell Slone. His sister Shirley Fortner; Niece Debbie Hamel (Everett) of Florida, Nephews Bryon Fortner (Lori), Mark James and Richard McElhaney; several great-neices and hephews, only one great-great niece Josie Hamel, special friend Shirley Irwin.
Jesse wished for cremation and to be laid to rest between his parents at Central Point Baptist Church Cemetery. A memorial is to be held at the church on his birthday, October 9th at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated to the Fallen Lineman Foundation.
