Kenneth “Dean” Greene, 84, of Rutledge passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side Friday, May 8, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was an avid farmer who loved the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Jimmy Dean Greene; parents, Jim and Lucy Greene; brothers, Glen and Wayne Greene; and his sister, Dorothy Cameron.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Edna; sons, Kenneth (Shonna) Greene, Chris (Angie) Greene, and Marvin (Joy) Greene; grandchildren, Kevin Greene, Devin (Ashley) Greene, Tiffany (Brandon) Solomon, Elizabeth (Adam) Douglas, and Dakota Greene; great grandchildren, Karley Greene, Brizen Solomon, Delaney Greene, Lane Dean Douglas, Jaxson Greene, Caleb Greene, and Levi Douglas. He will be greatly missed by all.
Friends and family may stop by Smith-Reagan Funeral Home in Rutledge at their convenience on Monday, May 11, 2020, from 12pm – 5pm. Visitation will be 5 – 7 pm at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home on Monday, May 11, 2020, with funeral to follow. Graveside service will be at 1 pm on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at Central Point Cemetery with Rev. Mark Kitts and Rev. Shane Pierce officiating.
