Mary (Maples) Waldrop, 86, of Blaine went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 29, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family. Mary graduated from Carter High School and went on to attend Knoxville Business College. She was a lifetime member of Clear Springs Baptist Church. Mary was passionate about her family and making sure their every need was met.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Waldrop; parents, Vernon and Juanita Maples; father and mother-in-law, Ralph and Nellie Waldrop; siblings, Billie Brown, Carolyn Maples, Donald Maples, Sue Griffin, and Ronnie Maples; sister and brother-in-law, JR and Mildred Luttrell; and son-in-law’s, Leroy Chasteen and Rick Hayes.
She is survived by her daughters, Patty Chasteen and Tina (Rick) Ferguson; son, Mike (Tara) Waldrop; grandchildren, Tabitha (Joshua) Nicely, Sarah Davis, Trish (Matt) Krebs, Dylan Davis and Danny Hayes; great-grandchildren, Marvin and Chasity Nicely and Emmett and Brixton Krebs; siblings, Floyd “Bud” Maples, Joyce Rutherford, Charles Maples, Charlotte Stalans, Shirley Menix, and Delores Rodney; very special niece who served as an incredible caregiver during the last four weeks of her life, Kathy Pappas; and many extended family members.
The family wishes to thank Amedisys Hospice for the love and care they provided to Mary.
Graveside services will be at 2pm on Friday, April 2, 2021, at Clear Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Mascot.
