Mary Louise Davis fondly remembered and known as “Granny” and “Weezy,” age 95, passed away January 15, 2020, at Ridgeview Terrace Nursing Home. She was born November 3, 1924, in Crossville, TN. Louise was a CNA at Ridgeview Terrace Nursing Home for 27 years, retiring at age 81. She has been a resident there for the past ten years.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents Marshall and Julia Shillings; sister Cordelia Edwards; brothers Charles and Earl Shillings; husband of 42 years, Robert Kenneth Davis; and great-grandsons Jacob Tyler Coffey and Zen Davis.
She is survived by her sister Mildred Edwards of Tampa, FL; daughters Sherlene (Albert) Coffey of Bean Station; and Tammy (Roger) Collins of Washburn; sons Wayne (Rachel) Davis of Jonesboro and Bobby (Edda) Davis of Clarksville. She also leaves to cherish her memory eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, January 17, 2020, at Smith-Reagan Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services to follow. Rev. Randy Morgan will officiate the service. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 18, 2020, at Sunrise Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family wishes to give special thanks for the loving care given their mom to Ridgeview Terrace faculty and staff, and to Smoky Mountain Hospice.
