Samuel Anderson Brabston, age 85 of Knoxville, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 9, 2022. He was a active member of mason Lodge 433 Charles H. McKinney Lodge F&AM and also a retired captain with the Knoxville Fire Dept. serving 38 years. He was member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church in Knoxville over 37 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Ruth Brabston; parents; and siblings.
He is survived by his sons, Martin (Kim) Brabston, and Stuart (Terri) Brabston; grandchildren, Cody, Cole, Chase, Tyler, Amanda, Caroline, and Caitlin Brabston; great-grandchild, Adam, Madison, Ford, Bo, Emmett, Walker, and Lane; siblings, Mildred Blazier, Betty Debose, and Eddie Brabston; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Smith Reagan Funeral Home in Rutledge, TN at 1PM with Rev. Kent Williams and Knoxville Fire Chaplin, Captain Paul N. Trumpore Sr. officiating. Visitation will be held from 11AM – 1PM prior to the service. Graveside services will follow at New Blackwell Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Martin, Stuart, Cody, Chase, Tyler, and Cole Brabston.
Honorary Pallbearer will be, David Goodson, and employees from Brabston Trucking.
