Thomas Harry Bacon, age 71 of Rutledge, TN went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 11, 2020. He was born at home in Jonesville, VA on November 7, 1948 to the late Drury L. Bacon and Pauline Debusk Bacon.
Harry was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He held several job titles throughout his life: Real Estate agent, Auctioneer, and worked at the Knoxville Livestock Center, but one of his greatest joy’s in life was farming and his cattle.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his loving wife, Darlene Bacon; daughter, Kim (Scott) Earls of Morristown, TN; son, Kelly (Tonya) Bacon of Cumberland Gap, TN; daughter, Misti (Steve) Neff of Jonesville, VA; daughter, Brandi (Richard) Baker of Knoxville, TN; and son, Morgan (Ayla) Seals of Bean Station, TN. Also survived by his grandchildren; Devin Surber, Christian Bacon, Bradley Neff, Eli Carver, Jasper Baker, River Seals, Ivy June Seals; great granddaughter, Estelle Bacon; brothers, Horace and Bill Bacon of Indiana, D.L. and Dick Bacon of Arizona. Special Friends, Suzy Baxter of Knoxville, TN; Larry Whitt of Rutledge, TN; and Brian Dalton of Rutledge, TN. Special Mentor, Rev. Roy Mullins who led him to Christ and had remained a lifelong friend; and a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 14, 2020 from 5-8 at Smith Reagan Funeral Home in Rutledge, TN. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at 11 am at Smith Reagan Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Goodson and Rev. David Jones officiating and music provided by Charby Jones. Graveside services at 3 pm on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Debusk Cemetery in Jonesville, VA.
